The 2017 edition of the 35 Innovators Under 35 awards has a new format: two regional competitions in Europe and Latin America. Furthermore, readers have the exclusive opportunity to purchase discounted tickets for our next European event, EmTech France 2017.

After five years of organizing the Innovators Under 35 awards in different countries in Europe and Latin America, the MIT Technology Review en Español is changing the competition’s format and introducing European and Latin American regional awards with the goal of strengthening our community of innovators in these areas. Applications for the European competition consist of over 1,100 candidates from more than 20 countries. These projects represent some of the most disruptive and innovative ideas in their field of work.

On the sideline of the competition, local events will be held in the countries where our network of innovators has crystallized. These events will bring the top ten talents of each country together with local communities as small-scale previews for the final event where the first generation of 35 Innovators Under 35 Europe will be announced.

This final event, the 35 Innovators Under 35 awards ceremony, will take place in Paris, France on September 14 at Station F, the largest start-up campus in the world. During this event, the 35 recognized “Innovators Under 35” will have the opportunity to present their projects and participate in various activities with the rest of our European community and all attendees.

The other large event in Europe this year is  EmTech France, an international emerging technology conference, which will be held on October 10 and 11 of 2017 in Toulouse, France. EmTech France will be the meeting point for the most disruptive innovations, the most creative advances in emerging technologies, and the business world. This year’s conference theme will focus on the human being as the center of technological transformation, its impacts in our daily lives and how these changes will shape the years to come.

At MIT Technology Review en Español we are committed to supporting young talent in global innovation. More than 180 innovators have received our prize in Europe and have gone on to participate in the global Innovators Under 35 competition.

Be part of our community!
